CHAIN DLK (4.5/5)

Opening with the acid poem recited by David Thrussel (you can find it also into the booklet) and titled "The Fettid Funghi" NOIZZZE JUST DO IT is a mammoth compilation full of new bands (or new for me) and new ideas. The thrirty six tracks of the 2CDs deal with distorted industrial music but for sure the bands have a sort of oblique approach to the genre (see for example the Ambassador21 remix of Snog's "This Is Capitalism" where the melodic part of the acoustic guitar sample and the sung duet with distorted rhythms and various samples) which is always a good thing in my opinion. Bands like Gacky (his "Henrettelse" is a sort of metal press mixed with a organ melody coming from an '80s hard rock song), Noize Creator ("F*** Face" is a sort of hip hop mixed with gabber and punk), Ctrler ("Noize Superstar" is a cyclic metallic melody grinder which turns into an extreme e.b.m. track), Skeft ("Learn To Smile" remembered me the Crass. Dunno why, but their use of classical samples, shouts of anthems and noise recalled to me the approach that the Crass had to music), DJ J.Christ (Alexey from Ambassador21 condenses into two minutes and half techno, gabber and punk with no problem at all), L.e.t.o. ("Ready To Disturb" is a digital track which seems improvised but instead it is a sort of crazy opera shrunk to less that three minutes. Really inspired...), Uziloop ("I no longer exist" is a sort of Residents meets the digital noise. Fast and intriguing with its two minutes lenght!), Nick Lebeat (his "Solution available" seemed to me a early The Fall track carried to the extreme, where only a distorted bass line and various distorted rhythms duet with the spoken part) will lead you toward a new way of doing noise. A way which deals with inspiration, freshness and will to surprise. This is another good release coming from Invasion Wreck Chords people!

REGEN MAGAZINE

Invasion Wreck Chords has put together a compilation of bands on its roster as well as bands that they like and consider themselves friends with. This impressive 2-disc compilation encompasses a whopping 36 tracks! Both discs are also mixed so that the tracks all meld together, making one long megamix of sound. And the sound is one of heavy unrelenting guitar and bass distortion-driven gabber noise. Some of the bands that weigh in on this compilation are Sonic Noise Terrorists, DJ J. Christ, Mind Disruptor, Schizoid, Klangstabil and Punish Yourself. There is also an Ambassador21 remix of "This Is Capitalism" by Snog as well as an intro to the compilation by David Thrussell titled "The Fetid Funghi," which is a commentary of sorts on nuclear weapons. Invasion Wreck Chords seems to be the current European hot spot for harsh gabber noise and this compilation is packed with artists that are new to me as I think they will be new to most people in the United States. Other labels such as Canada's D-Trash lend a hand with the band Punish Yourself and a heavy ear throbber titled "Gimme (More) Cocaine" finishing off the mayhem on disc two. Other notable tracks are the bass pulsations of Adam Strang's "Tear A Cop Apart," the distortion-layered drum skipping of Candie Hank's "Dierryha Of Dreams," the breakbeat bashings of Deathsitcom's "Exe.cution" and the twangs and tweaks of Klangstabil's "December." All in all, this is one hell of a kick-ass gabber noise comp that keeps you on your feet from start to finish. Get yourself a copy of this one and join the Invasion.

SPACE JUNKIES (5/5)

Could you really ask for anything more from Invasion Wreck Chords? When you think that they couldn't possibly deal you another card that'd top any former releases they come up with a hand full of aces. This time around it's two disc's topped to the brim with a mixture of some notorious as well as some infamous artists from around the world in a selection of styles that range from all out Digital Hardcore to spoken word to drum 'n' bass and every electronic, noise, industrial and digital style in between. Thirty six tracks, two discs, lots of electro noise, great artists, great music - this is by far the absolute best compilation album I have ever heard. This is and will be the ultimate collector's item for any fan of DHC, Industrial or Electronic music. If you don't have this in your collection you're sadly missing out on something bigger than enormous!
