PROYECTO MIRAGE - Turn It On

proyecto mirage was founded in 1990 by alicia h. willen and francisco planellas. they were initially influenced by the classic electro-pop of the early nineties (a sound which is still present in their side project bubble gum) but the duo was also attracted to industrial-music projects like s.p.k., whitehouse and - of course - esplendor geometrico. their first release saw the light of day after nine years, and their creative output since then has evolved into more complexity. the hard-floor oriented aggressiveness was enriched with electronic ingredients of all kinds - ranging from electro and electronic body music to techno, drum'n'bass, or even sounds similar to those of experimental 'bridging artists' like aphex twin and pan sonic. artists who share p.m.'s taste for alarming atmospheres, broken melodies and distorted rhythms.
'turn it on' is the conclusion of more then ten years of progression. lashing high-speed dance floor blasts ('cannibal party'), distorted eighties nostalgia (6 6 5, 9), straight breakbeat excursions ('welcome to life'), pounding four-to-the-floor industrial anthems ('salvation', a collaboration with italian experimental/folk mastermind spiritual front), disturbing experimental-core ('darker bex') - this album is a perfect amalgamation of all facets of the electronic assault culture - all of which is welded together to form a powerful statement that encompasses severity as well as humorous wickedness - nobody expects the spanish inquisition!
this is what they are, this is where the project is today - take it or leave it.
always keep in mind: proyecto mirage is not just an illusion but a concrete reality!

EXOCET - Violation

rene klimaczewski a.k.a. klima is well-known for his collaborations with artists like converter and architect; he also made well-approved remixes (for displacer, for example) along with supporting young upcoming performers like demian, rdr a.k.a. raw state and denizchador on his label kellermusik, which started seven years ago. by chance, on a trip to new york city in 2007, he became acquainted with dave kean - an inspirational character and a non-musician with a twisted mind, who left klima stunned with a multiplicity of ideas and extraordinary creative urges. kean became the muse for a new-born named exocet and this album is the first result of this artistic insemination. violation holds a perfect balance between technoid complexity and industrial roughness, spliced into a single unit by accomplished usage of well-structured rhythmic work. fortifying bass pulses and diversified synth chords are enriched with scattered sounds and voices, generating powerful undertones of anxiety and threat. turning kean's guidelines into music, klima developed a one-of-a-kind style of digital sequences and human sentiment, defining an almost unreal post-industrial atmosphere. exocet is a crucible of sounds resonating with power and motion, completed with a pounding, merciless remix by u.s. electro-industrial legend manufactura - a truly fine conclusion to a landmark in the neutral zone between electronica and industrial.

DIVE - Are You Real? (3CD)

DIVE is back! In 1990, Dirk Ivens (member of Klinik, Sonar, ABC) released a self-titled solo album under the name DIVE. It was very primitive, harsh and experimental, with lyrics about hope, death, love and fear, and spawned the hit like '10000 Volts'. This was the start of a fruitful endeavour with most early releases written and produced with Ivan Iusco (Nightmare Lodge / Minus Habens label owner ), then later with Eric Van Wonterghem (Vomito Negro / Insekt / Monolith / Sonar). In this all new album Dirk adds to his collaborators the talented musician Rafael M. Espinosa from the Spanish project GEISTFORM : with a minimum of equipment, Dirk Ivens creates a maximum of power. His sound has been copied by a lot of newcomers in the last couple of years and he has proven on many stages that less can mean more. This commemorative box is to celebrate 18 years of work under the DIVE name and contains 3 CD's: 'BEHIND THE SUN' the latest DIVE album in collaboration with Rafael M. Espinosa, 'NO PAIN NO GAME' originally released in 1994 only in Germany ( this album is full of outtakes, live recordings, and demos and It has not been available for a decade) and 'LIVE AT DIE RЦHRE - STUTTGART - GERMANY - 20/05/93' a previously unreleased live album available ONLY in this box set.

Inside the box you will also find:
2 POSTCARDS, ONE PIN, ONE STICKER.

CONDANNA - …E I Vermi Ameranno…

CONDANNA is an original experiment through alchemical audio activities characterized by an obsessive and introspective research of sound. 50 minutes to discover the circular subconscious, the dark soul, there finding a deep penetration in the wound of silence: this is “....e i vermi ameranno la mia carne”, the new CONDANNA release. Everything has been programmed with an old 'Roland' sequencer and all sounds come from synth and samplers, without additional pc editing or mastering. This work is an attempt to create a personal manifesto able to transmit a complete lack of expression. A coma of the soul, a coma of the soul born from a hidden anger in the flesh, existential bruising eternally present. In 2005 the live performance began, outlined by a sound complex and eclectic : at the heart of the live performance is a component of improvisation with the use of instruments that allow CONDANNA to interact with his state of mind and his instinct at the same time, creating a greater sense of truth to the sounds played live. From these live experiments some of the recorded material in this new release emerged.

OBJECT - The Ethane Asylum

Dark, atmospheric and complex electro-industrial music in the vein of classic Skinny Puppy and Front Line Assembly.
Object is the solo dark elektro project of Andreas Malik. Heavily influenced by Skinny Puppy, Frontline Assembly and Mentallo & The Fixer, Andreas embarked on his musical career in late 1994. After three demo tapes and a highly-regarded CDR titled "Self-Designed Eden", Object got signed to the now defunct German indie label Broken Seal, and released two critically-acclaimed albums "Part Time Paranoia"(2001) and "The Reflecting Skin" (2002). New "The Ethane Asylum" delivers over 75 minutes of authentic dark elektro pleasure and sets a new benchmark for intricate, complex and multi-layered programming. Gems such as the title track, Dreamer Without Dreams and Colliding thoughts will most definitely leave listeners speechless. The album concludes with a crafty remix of "The ethane Asylum" by dark elektro wizard, Brain Leisure.

PUNCH INC. - Fightclub

the bielefeld based live / studio project punch inc. was founded in august 2000. both protagonists, a. brinkert and a. glockner are equally responsible for synthesizer, sampling and programming (both have played in various projects since 1992). a. glockner (aka moctan) experimented with electronic dance music and supported local industrial projects like ars moriendi, asche, morgenstern and monokrom, while a. brinkert (aka bipol) achived recognition as an innovative bass player and sound constructor with klang, womp and templegarden's. during various sessions both generated the idea to merge these musical outputs into a collective venture. since the beginning the name punch inc. has stood for hard, intransigent and propulsive industrial that is supported by tribalistic and technoid beats. the mercilessness of an industrial civilization is punch inc's main influence, and they always place an emphasis on the rhythmic overkill. fightclub: a visualization of the fate of most everyday humans: struggle for assertiveness, combat the inner and outer predator, fight - not for the chance of winning but for survival. fightclub: machines designed for personal wars, emitting dense, grinding soundwalls that are wedged into never ending beat pulses. fightclub: mankind's biggest enemy is shutdown and here are eleven arms to make you move onward... if this album doesn't make you roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty then you need to check your pulse!

TZOLK'IN - Haab'

tzolk'in is a collaboration between empusae and flint glass - artists who are known in the fields of dark ambient, contemporary ritualistic tribal music and experimental electronica. this project is a conceptual creation inspired by mayan mythology and the ancient mayan astrological calendar of the same name. from the beginning their approach to sound resulted in quite a few novel musical perspectives: the merging of empusae's distinct dark, oppressive and brooding soundscapes and flint glass's characteristic rhythmic and ambient compositions (which are seemingly subject to an almost alien purpose and theme). the final product is majestic and epic, often martial and bellicose, with a sense of tragedy that at times is even quite meditative. tzolk'in can easily be viewed as an exotic soundtrack to the phantoms of a dead civilization or more simply put, music that is inspired by a doomed mayan divination system. on their first self-titled release, empusae and flint glass chose eight periods of the tzolk'in calendar and on haab' they describe eight periods of the mayan solar year. ceremonious, deep tones merge with the power and strength of industrial music - kept together by elaborate impulsive ritual rhythms that enhance the atmosphere of a flourishing culture. an abyssal, haunting cycle of tribal sound, constructed so that the listener can dive into a bygone era. packaging: gatefold-sleeve special black cardboard w/ golden print.

NEXICON - Life Emmiting Diode

nexicon is the inevitable clash of members of navicon torture technologies and fragment king, joining forces for a series of session recordings and live events. the brutal metallic quality of the now legendary nexicon performance in new york city sparked the further development of the combine project, which released 2 disintegrating pieces on the nex010 12” [simple things are often monstrous] and a compilation piece for the infamous belorussian industrial punk label invasion wreck chords.
“life emitting diode” is an experimental stomping ground between the atonal relentlessness of ntt and the low-end beat rumbling of fragment king - ranging from introspective, mysterious, threatening to bludgeoning, exploding and harsh: “we are nexicon.”

AH CAMA-SOTZ - Dead Cities

Tales of Dead Cities as described by the Master of Darkness, the Bat Himself. For this new akbum Ah Cama-Sotz created no less than ten descriptive aural landsacapes from all over the world. From solitude of the empty streets of "Enuma Elsih" to the concrete structures which are nothing less than the remains of reactor meltdown "Thermonuclear". There are many stories, myths and legends about the origin of civilization and many of them have their roots in the Middle-East. The ritual and Arabic influences on Dead Cities are welcome diversion in the current era of straightforward and emotionless thinking. And as with so many other releases from Ah Cama-Sotz - Dead Cities is also a lesson in history and philosophy.

TWINKLE - Le Jouet

what is twinkle? better ask what are twinkle, because this is a two members project: yves cornu & j.-b. leduc from france. so far only one ep has been released on the label/collective audiotrauma. after many concert appearances which caused reactions that were beyond enthusiasm/ecstasy and two years after 'processing industry' the time has come for their first full length album. le jouet (the toy) explores the different aspects of 'toys': the pretend innocence of a real toy like barbie, human beings who use toys for specific role playing and deadly weapons used like toys by grown ups who can never negate the children they once were. le jouet's music is a unique blend of hard hitting ultra distorted rhythms/beats constructed to stir up your brain and (probably) force you to dance. psychotic, twisted & tribal rhythmic noise is overlayed with unpretentious melodies and enriched with pushing vocals (complimented by a tremendous selection of samples). music that is complex, challenging and body oriented all at the same time. twinkle has established a style that is between contemporary industrial, experimental soundscapes and intelligent usage of metric varieties. let the game begin...

100 BLUMEN - In Floriculture There Is No Law!

100blumen's roots are in guitar (punk, grindcore and metal). from the beginning his political stance was anti-fascist and he still characterizes himself as an anarchist. he discovered industrial music in 1997 after debuting as a vocalist in a punk band and a few years later he started experimenting with electronic equipment. in 2005 he founded the 'le petit machiniste' label and the project that became 100blumen... although the project's name was taken from the mao zedong quote, (which sounds harmless at first but culminated in terribly oppressed freedom of expression) 100blumen's musical aim is not necessarily political. in his own words, music is an articulation of emotions: 'not exactly the adequate means to express myself, but so far there is no better one available'. what you are about to hear is a sheer outburst of distorted noise, chopped sequences and hard driving beats. an edgy fusion of energy and aggression, rooted in the roughness of punk without any stylish teenage riot nostalgia. essentially the sound is the power of innocent machines forced to run amok. this is the continuation of what started with the no-fi industrial movement way back in the eighties. music that keeps you awake. music that forces you to think. music to make you move. let a hundred flowers bloom. feat. remixes by asche vs. morgenstern, twinkle and nin kuji!

HEIMSTATT YIPOTASH - Perpetual Beta

"Perpetual beta" is a buzzword from the it sector. It means something like "continuing beta version" and expresses the ambition to vary internet pages by involving a community. Some well known examples who represent this in a distinct way are flickr.com, del.icio.us or myspace.com. Whenever you visit one of these pages - they'll always look a bit different and give you more or slightly different information. New technologies are being tested while the pages are still online, well functioning parts are copied or reworked from other sites and parts who do not work as expected will be removed again. This continuing variation is reflected in our own lives in two ways: every being is influenced by its environment and other beings. We act, we react and we re-arrange things around us by doing so. And this specifically applies to the music of Heimstatt Yipotash, too. If we listen to music that impresses us it will influence our work. This external process naturally continues to the inside: we vary samples, ideas and song fragments until we are happy with the result. And if our music probably makes you acting, thinking, dancing are reacting in any other ways we finally handed over the process of continuing beta versions over to you.
